our story
Companies and organizations are systems that need key elements to live...a collective sense of purpose, group security, leadership, and adaptability. The most successful "communities" are those that are transparent, equitable, creative and forward-focused-breakdowns in our organizations are usually caused not by a chink in our resources, but by not recognizing and motivating our people and systems to work together in a productive community. So often in both the public and private sectors, we focus on fixing what is broken rather than celebrating what we can do together. In 2007, I left my career as the CEO of a successful leading nonprofit agency to found this practice, because I believe business success hinges on re-creating how we work to focus on vision, shared leadership, and collective success. In other words, we must re-build work as community!
